2. Target Archery with Wherry Archers
Recipients of a Great Yarmouth Sport & Leisure Trust grant in 2022, Wherry Archers is a family-friendly club offering target archery with recurve, barebow, compound, and longbows. They shoot outdoors at Filby Village Playing Field and indoors at Fleggburgh Village Hall in winter.

3. Table Tennis at Broadland Sports Club
Broadland Sports Club offers table tennis with tables and equipment available to hire by booking in advance. You can play in their dance studio or on squash courts.

Try sailing on the Norfolk Broads, just a short drive from Great Yarmouth. Beginner-friendly courses are often available through the Norfolk Schools Sailing Association.

9. Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) in Great Yarmouth & Hemsby
Discover stand-up paddleboarding locally with the Great Yarmouth & Gorleston Surf Club, which offers SUP membership, sessions, and coaching for all abilities.
Alternatively, try Summer SUP in Hemsby for board hire, lessons, and guided tours along the coast — perfect for beginners and more experienced paddlers alike.
10. Clay Pigeon Shooting with Great Yarmouth Wildfowlers
Great Yarmouth & Gorleston Wildfowlers’ Clay Club has a long history, now running monthly Sunday morning shoots in beautiful woodland near Great Yarmouth. With an 8-trap, 40-bird sporting layout, it’s a great way to test your aim in a friendly, social atmosphere.
