Looking to stay active, meet new people, or simply enjoy the great outdoors? Walking groups in and around Great Yarmouth offer a perfect way to combine fitness, socialising, and the beauty of Norfolk's landscapes.
Exercising as part of a group is not only safer during the darker months — it’s more fun, social, and motivating. Great Yarmouth and the surrounding area have a variety of walking groups to suit different interests and abilities.
No matter your pace or experience, there’s a group that will inspire your steps. Here’s a selection of fantastic walking groups to get you started:
U3A Rambling Group
The U3A Rambling Group offers monthly walks, typically on the second Tuesday of each month. Walks usually last two to two-and-a-half hours and include a short refreshment break.
The routes are chosen to include points of historical, natural, or architectural interest, and members are encouraged to lead walks themselves. The group is welcoming and social, perfect for anyone who enjoys exploring the outdoors, learning along the way, and meeting new people.
